Hey all, so my current event was over the famous Tony Hawk, and how he's an entrepreneur. He was the first pioneer in skateboarding which led to the development and rising popularity of all extreme sports.

Hey Kevin I read the article you posted and it was interesting how such an innovative athlete became quite the business man. I'm not a big skateboarding fan, but even I have heard of Birdhouse before. Do you think that he was waiting for his big break (landing the 900 in Sacremento) before he started his company in order to really get his name out? Or do you think the company would have been launched regardless of his popularity?

ReplyDeleteThats crazy Kevin. Im not a massive skateboarding fan, but i do remember playing his games when i was a youngster. Do you think he is the first of many to break through from extreme sports? Maybe there might be a bmx rider soon or something along those lines.
ReplyDeleteI knew Tony Hawk was one of the pioneers of creating skateboarding tricks but I didn't know he did so much for the sport. Great article man.
